After graduating with a Distinction in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Callistus took employment with Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) from July 1998 to January 2019. His 20+ years in the Oil and Gas industry has been a rare opportunity for Leadership development, Capacity building, Growth and Fulfillment.
During this period, Cally successfully completed the thirteen-month Shell Intensive Technical and Leadership Training program in Shell Expro, Aberdeen, and became the Mechanical Lead for NLNG’s Construction, Commissioning and Start-Up of Expansion Projects. He later became the senior mechanical lead with the mandate to deliver on Plant Maintenance to highest standard that guaranteed asset reliability and integrity. Meanwhile, he continued to embark on self-development to broaden his horizon and, in 2007 obtained a degree in Economics and Management from the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He moved on to the Supply Chain division of NLNG, where his contributions and continuing educational development earned him the Professional Diploma award from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK, in 2014.
As the rallying point for NLNG in the implementation of Kaizen and 5-S Philosophy, organizational growth through cultural transformation became Cally’s Major. His contributions across various cross-functional teams was pivotal to the Re-Certification of NLNG to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 2015 in July 2018. This earned him a special recognition from the company’s Executive Management. Until his exit from NLNG, he was the senior Maintenance planner in charge of strategic planning in all six hydrocarbon processing Trains, Utilities, and all Turnaround activities.
